Costco gas bars are the price anchor of the Edmonton fuel market. On a typical day, Costco regular runs 10–20 cents per litre below the major chains, and its premium (91 octane) is often the cheapest premium fuel in the city by an even wider margin. The catch is well known: you need an active Costco membership to pump, lines peak on weekends and weekday evenings, and payment at the pump is Mastercard or debit.
The Edmonton region's Costco gas bars follow the warehouse map — the south side near South Edmonton Common, the west end near West Edmonton Mall, and the north side — plus the St. Albert and Sherwood Park locations just outside the city that many Edmonton members treat as their home gas bar. Each location we track appears in the live list below with its current price.
Costco fuel is standard-spec gasoline with deposit-control additives (it meets Top Tier standards), so the discount is a business-model choice, not a quality difference: the gas bar exists to drive memberships and warehouse trips. If a fill is 60 litres, a 15¢/L gap covers a good chunk of the membership fee in just a few months of fueling.
