Compare diesel reports at the stations we track in Edmonton and along routes such as the Yellowhead, Whitemud and Anthony Henday. Wholesale fuel costs, transportation, applicable taxes and retail competition can all affect prices; refinery proximity does not establish a fixed local discount.
A hypothetical 15¢/L difference on a 75-litre fill saves $11.25 before detour costs. Use the actual reported difference and your expected litres, then consider route access and any commercial-account requirements. A low regular-gas report does not establish that a station sells diesel or that its diesel is cheapest.
